Maureen’s expertise in event planning has well-established roots. For over 15 years she held a position as general manager of a multimillion-dollar service organization where she led a team of up to 55 staff.
Her keen business sense and entrepreneurial spirit led her to play a key role in the establishment of a company that managed events at one of BC’s largest tourist destinations – Science World. These functions covered a wide gamut – from celebrations convened by high-profile personalities, to large corporate conferences, to major public gatherings of up to 2000 people.
Most recently Maureen used her attention to detail and passion for planning events in her role at the MS Society of Canada, BC & Yukon, this last year she was the provincial lead for all 18 Scotiabank MS Walks.
In addition to being a Red Seal Certified Chef, Maureen is also a graduate of BCIT with an Associate Certificate in Event Marketing with distinction.
Maureen draws on this experience, as well as her ongoing dedication to professional excellence through education and training, to ensure successful – and very special – events. She diligently meets the objectives of her clients through astute strategic planning, exceptional attention to detail, as well as industry connections and behind-the-scenes know-how that assure on-time, on-budget delivery.
A busy mom of three grown boys, Ana Brand has worked with Emerald Events for three years and has learned hands-on the art of planning and executing events. Prior to working with us, Ana has been a PAC leader for fifteen years organizing committees and many special events. Most recently Ana has been honored with a Shakti Award of Excellence for her Public Service. Her experience includes helping people with Celebration of Life events for three years; Ana is well-suited for this role as she has a great eye for detail and a heart of gold.
