Every year, I join my fellow board members at Fraser Valley Event Planning Association (FVEPA) to attend GoWEST, an incredible 3-day conference for Canadian event professionals to gather to make new friends and gain access to the industry’s thought-leaders and resources.
The conference is jam-packed with social events, bootcamps, keynote sessions, an experiential trade-show and more. We were thrilled to soak it all in so all of us at Emerald Events can bring the latest and greatest to your weddings, parties, and brand launches.
Besides getting to connect with talented professionals in the industry and learning about the hottest new trends, I love getting inspired by all the gorgeous décor and details that the conference shows off!
The Fraser Valley Event Planning Association heading off to GoWest 2020
Stephen Melville, the president of FVEPA shared the following:
“Most of our board members and many of our FVEPA members attended the Go West 2020 Conference in Edmonton. It was nothing short of an amazing experience. There were endless connections to be made with hundreds of attendees and vendors. The speaker line-up was huge, filled with influencers and big industry names mixed in with local professionals who have so much knowledge to share with us”.
“The breakout sessions had something for everyone and were placed in uniquely designed immersive meeting rooms called The Playground, The Classroom, The Oasis, The Gym, The Lab. Of course, the networking receptions were truly outstanding, from the food to the decor. I can’t imagine what more could have been done to make the experience more impactful.
“This was also the first time our association was recognized as an industry partner! This was huge and I cannot express how proud I was to see FVEPA recognized alongside some of the other leading industry organizations. We have so much experience and talent within our membership and I am sure we’ll continue to see this organization grow and achieve some really extraordinary things over the coming months.”
